Friður is an AI-powered travel companion designed exclusively for Iceland. It provides weather data, aurora forecasts, road conditions, trip planning, curated places, and an AI guide named Fríða.
Fríða's suggestions are informational only. While we strive for accuracy, travel conditions in Iceland can change rapidly and unpredictably. Weather, road conditions, volcanic activity, and other factors may differ from what the app displays.
You are responsible for:
Friður and Fríða do not replace professional travel advice, emergency services, or official safety information. In an emergency, call 112 (Iceland's emergency number).
You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Keep your credentials safe and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. You must be at least 16 years old to use Friður.
When using Friður, you agree not to:
You retain ownership of the content you create in Friður — your trip plans, saved places, boards, and notes. By using co-trip and board sharing features, you grant other invited users the ability to view and interact with shared content.
Friður, Fríða, and all associated branding, design, and technology are the property of Friður. Our curated place descriptions, AI responses, and app interface are protected by copyright.
Friður integrates with third-party services including Anthropic, ElevenLabs, Google, and Supabase. Your use of features powered by these services is also subject to their respective terms.
We aim to keep Friður available and reliable, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, modify, or temporarily suspend features as we improve the app. We'll communicate significant changes through the app when possible.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Friður is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to reliance on travel information, route suggestions, or weather data provided by the app or Fríða.
You can stop using Friður at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, you can request deletion of your data per our Privacy Policy.
We may update these terms as Friður evolves. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app.
These terms are governed by the laws of Iceland. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Reykjavík, Iceland.
